Car rental in Ukraine is becoming increasingly popular not only among foreigners, for whom this is a common thing, but also among our citizens, who have appreciated all the advantages of this service. The car rental service is of interest to travelers who do not have their own transport, entrepreneurs who need to meet business partners at the airport, or those who need a commercial fleet of vehicles, but do not yet have sufficient funds to purchase one. The service is also in demand among other clients, both individuals and legal entities.
Bestrental Company takes care of all the maintenance of the car, its timely insurance and compensation for losses in the event of an accident. The renter only needs to choose a suitable model, conclude a contract for the required period and pay the pre-agreed amount.
However, before accepting the car, it is important to carefully inspect it for any faults, damage, stains or other defects that may cause claims from the rental company when returning the car. All detected defects must be recorded in the acceptance certificate to avoid any disputes in the future.
Particular attention should be paid to the following aspects: Responsible companies provide customers with cars that are in good working order and clean, even if they have already been used. But regardless of the reliability of the rental company, you should not let your guard down, especially if you are contacting them for the first time. Do not leave the car park until you have checked the selected car.
Conduct your inspection in good lighting to notice even the smallest defects. If you don't notice them before renting, they will definitely be found when you return the car.
Pay special attention to:
- The body, glass and mirrors – these elements can be assessed during an external inspection.
- Interior – be sure to inspect the inside of the car.
- Equipment – do not forget to check the contents of the trunk, which should contain all the necessary tools and equipment.
If something is missing or defects are found, immediately inform the manager. The missing elements must be provided, and information about the defects must be included in the contract or recorded in the acceptance certificate. If the defects are documented, this will protect you from possible disagreements when returning the car. If, in your opinion, the detected defects will affect the quality of the service, you can request a replacement car.
In addition to a visual inspection, it is important to check the car's functionality. Ask the manager to start the engine, which should run steadily.
External inspection
When inspecting the body, check for chips, scratches and dents, as well as defects on the windows, mirrors and headlights. If a presentable appearance is important, ask to replace the car if you find such defects. If appearance is not a priority, record all defects of the body and glass elements before renting.
Internal examination
When inspecting the interior, pay attention to the condition and functionality:
- gearbox housing,
- interior upholstery,
- window lifters,
- air conditioner,
- cigarette lighter,
- audio systems and other elements.
Ask the manager to check all the functional elements of the interior, turn on the climate control system and check the multimedia equipment. All faults must be specified in the contract.
Equipment
Each car must be equipped with a first aid kit, emergency sign and fire extinguisher. The absence of these items is a violation of traffic rules, for which you can be fined. In addition, this can create inconvenience in the event of an emergency on the road.
There should be a spare tire and a jack in the trunk. It is not recommended to set off without these items, especially on long trips.
Car rental abroad
If you plan to rent a car abroad, find a reliable rental company in advance and book a car in Ukraine. This will ensure that the selected car will be ready for your arrival at the designated location.
Both in Ukraine and abroad, before renting a car, you need to carefully inspect it. Check the body, interior and equipment for defects. All detected defects must be recorded in the acceptance certificate to avoid controversial situations when returning the car.
